I was going to help you with starting the Word assignments, but that isn't going to work right now. Most of the ones in the first group below shouldn't be too difficult, so you need to get started on the Word assignments.
So, if you haven't done #3 below, do that first, then start working on #4. If you get stuck on any particular part of an assignment, ask a neighbor if they can help you and if no one in the class can figure it out, go ahead and do all that you can on the assignment and I will help you with the rest when I get back. You will need to eventually complete 16 word assignments. The first 5 will be due on February 14th. That's two weeks or five class periods from now. So, if you do the math, you need to do one per period. I might suggest starting with #1, but you can choose as per the instructions below. Once you finish 5, you print all 5 out and staple them together and turn them in.
E-mail me if you have questions, but don't use that as an excuse to not work until you hear back from me. I am hearing some of you are still just hanging out in the back of the room and saying you have nothing to do. This is no longer an excuse that works unless I have your 5 first word assignments complete and in my hands!
2. Complete 10 keyboarding drills (1-10)(See Mr. Wood) If you are caught not putting a drill back in the appropriate folder, you will get to do an extra drill!

3. Set up your folder Structure like the structure on pages 25-27 of "The Office Specialist.com" workbook. You can find this workbook on the school's Shared Technology Drive at the following link G:\The Office Specialist (This may not link . . . you can copy and paste it into any folder window on your computer and it will open)
(You can skip the Access folders as we will not do any access assignments. Also, for right now, the logo folders can be left empty and you can download the logos as you go).

4. In the Office Specialist workbook (see above), you need to complete 16 assignments.
The following 11 assignments are REQUIRED as part of your 16:
1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 16. 18, 19, 20
In addition to the 11 required assignments, you should also choose 5 optional assignments from the rest of the assignments.
First 5 (of your choice) due on February 14th!
